This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or obtain an official booking record. Contact the government office that holds the record directly.

Henderson County Jail Records

For a current county-custody question, jail record, or booking-photo procedure, start with the Henderson County Sheriff's Office. The official county page identifies it as the contact for who-is-in-jail, jail records, and mugshot questions. Ask for the records custodian and the current written-request procedure before submitting a form.

Henderson County Sheriff's Office
170 Justice Center Drive
Lexington, TN 38351
(731) 968-7777
Administrative hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Emergency or active crime: 911

The station is described as staffed 24/7. The official page does not provide a separate booking-photo records line or a records-unit email. A request should identify the person, date or range, arresting agency, and whether the request is for public booking fields, an image, or both.

Other Official Record Routes

Different offices keep different parts of a Henderson County event. Use the contact that matches the record type rather than expecting one office to answer every question.

  • For a city incident report, contact Lexington Police at (731) 968-6666, Scotts Hill Police at (731) 549-3175, or Sardis Town Hall at (731) 858-2641 to identify the current records route.
  • For a court case, hearing, or disposition, contact Henderson County Circuit Court and General Sessions Clerk Beverly Dunaway at (731) 968-2031, 170 Justice Center Drive, Lexington.
  • For a possible local warrant procedure, use the sheriff or clerk route described on the Sheriff's Most Wanted page.
  • For qualifying Tennessee state custody or supervision, use the TDOC FOIL locator and the state VINE notification route.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the appropriate BOP or ICE official locator, which do not serve as local booking-photo sources.

The county record page explains the custody-state distinctions and the records-request sequence. A city police report, county booking record, and court disposition remain separate records.
